Here it is, in all its glory. Formerly red, white & blue, bedecked with all sort of fairings & spoilers, it wasn't my idea of stylish. Also, after several Burning Man jaunts & a crash or two, it was rather tired. Beaten-up & unloved, I brought it home for the princely sum of $0. As such, I had very little to lose, and thus began it's crash diet.
All the plastic, save for part of the side panels, went into the trash, followed by the stock headlamp, blinkers, and non-functional fuel pump.

Some day I'll bust out the fiberglass & make a section to bridge the gap between the pared-down side panels & upside-down mounted taillamp. Hmm...a license plate might be nice, too.

The gauge pod was dismantled & eventually the instruments will return to the tops of the forks in 2 individual buckets, as soon as I find suitable donors. Vintage gauges would be spiffy, but all my bike-money is going into the Guzzi, so this is a low- to no-budget project, which forces me to get creative.

It's all about having fun.
